Black Beautiful & Brilliant was created with Black women at the center. It exists as inspiration — to affirm our worth, reflect our power, and remind us of who we are, even in seasons that try to break us. This brand speaks to the woman who shows up, who carries generations, who holds it together, and still chooses to rise.
The brand was first imagined by my late husband, Brian, long before we met. He believed deeply in the brilliance of Black women — in our resilience, our intelligence, and our ability to create something meaningful even in the face of adversity. He believed Black women deserved to be celebrated boldly and unapologetically, not just for what we endure, but for who we are.
In 2025, my life changed forever.
Brian passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind not only his vision, but a family — me and our two children — and a legacy unfinished. In the midst of grief, I was faced with a choice: let his dream rest with him, or carry it forward in a way that honored his heart and expanded his purpose.
I chose to carry it.

As a young Black woman, a widow, and a mother, rebuilding this brand became more than business. It became healing. It became a purpose. It became a way to show my children what love looks like when it refuses to end — and what strength looks like when it continues, even when the path feels heavy.
Black Beautiful & Brilliant is rooted in inspiration, but it is also rooted in legacy. Every piece we create is designed to affirm Black women — to remind us that our stories matter, our voices matter, and our brilliance deserves to be seen, honored, and worn with pride.
