These words are more than a phrase. They are an affirmation of who we are, where we come from, and what we carry forward.
Black Beautiful & Brilliant began with my late husband, Brian. Long before we met, he envisioned a brand that celebrated the beauty, intelligence, strength, and brilliance within the Black community. At the heart of his original vision was a desire to uplift Black women and remind them of their beauty, strength, and worth.
In 2025, my life changed forever.
Brian passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind not only his vision, but a family — me and our two children — and a legacy unfinished. In the midst of grief, I was faced with a choice: let his dream rest with him, or carry it forward in a way that honored his heart and expanded his purpose.
I chose to carry it.
Our Story
Celebrate Black Beauty & Brilliance
As a young Black woman, a widow, and a mother, rebuilding this brand became more than business. It became healing. It became a purpose. It became a way to show my children what love looks like when it refuses to end — and what strength looks like when it continues, even when the path feels heavy.
As I carried Brian's vision forward, Black Beautiful & Brilliant evolved with me. What began as his dream became a broader celebration of our identity, the legacy we inherit and create, and the resilience that allows us to keep moving forward.
Today, Black Beautiful & Brilliant stands on three pillars:

LEGACY- Honoring where we come from while building something meaningful that can be carried forward.
RESILIENCE- Recognizing the strength to rise, rebuild, and continue forward through every season.
